Condo Kitchen Remodel in Downtown, Washington, DC
Project Overview
Our client contacted Four Brothers to remodel the dated kitchen in their luxury condominium unit, located in the Pennsylvania Avenue Corridor area of Northwest Washington, DC. Like most condos we work in, it was of utmost importance to the homeowners that we be respectful to the building and courteous to their neighbors during the construction process. Extra attention was paid to control and collect dust, protect hallway floors and walls, reduce noise, and adhere to the strict hours allowed for such work to be done.
Design & Style
Space was at a premium and the new kitchen would need to fit within the existing layout, which was a classic L-shape, closed kitchen design. One way we achieved this was to use a built-in hood by XO Ventilation, specifically designed to have a smaller footprint and not stick out the as much as the average range hood. In addition, this hood offered a recirculating kit, which is exactly what was needed in this condominium.
The kitchen countertops are quartz in Snow White by Corian. The stainless steel sink is from the Kubus line by Franke and is a perfect fit for this Grohe faucet from their Concetto collection. The cabinets are custom made quarter sawn golden teak wood with a natural finish. The dark accents are maple with an ebony stain. The white doors are back-painted glass.
