Neutral Tone Bathroom Update in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Project Overview

Our clients in Chevy Chase, Maryland wanted to upgrade two bathrooms and revamp the front exterior of their home. Their goals were to improve functionality and create a more modern aesthetic. They opted to transform their original front walkway into a ramp and refresh the facade to better reflect their personal style. Inside, the bathrooms felt dated and no longer met code, prompting a complete renovation within the existing layout.

Design and Layout

We redesigned the main bathroom to feel more open, using every inch of space efficiently. Custom cabinetry made from Vision Quarter Cut Scandinavian Oak in a natural veiled finish introduced warmth and texture. Pale blue accents behind the vanity mirrors and warm-toned tile selections brought a subtle sense of calm. Outside, we replaced the front windows with Marvin Ultimate Narrow Frame Casement models in black and installed a sleek new front door with sidelights. By removing the non-structural decorative columns and using a combination of light and dark gray pavers, we gave the entryway a clean, modern feel.

Style and Finish

Throughout both bathrooms, polished chrome fixtures and hardware create a crisp contrast with the natural oak cabinetry and soft tile palette. The front exterior was similarly elevated with thoughtful material choices, including black gutters and trim that tie in with the new windows and door. The ramped walkway and open porch entry enhance accessibility without sacrificing curb appeal. Altogether, these updates brought fresh life to the home—both in style and everyday functionality.
